I’ve just woken up to the news that the electoral college endorsed the Pussy Grabber. It’s very much like the feeling I got as a child when I looked through semi-closed eyes at my parents trying to be quiet at the end of my bed in the middle of the night as they filled my Christmas stocking. Although by then I had stopped believing that a fat man with a red face could squeeze himself down our blocked up chimney, deep down I had hoped I was wrong and that my parents had been telling me the truth…Deep down I wanted the magic to really and truly exist.
And here we are once again.
The thud of reality.
I went to bed hoping that, like Santa, the old fat guy with the orange face and pudgy small hands hands was another one of those lies to be filed away on the mental shelf with the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny. But I have woke to the crushing news – the old white guy really does exist.
And yes he will be the next President of the US.
There is no justice in this world.
This is a man who thinks it fine to grab a woman’s pussy just because he feels like it. A man whose triumph was won on the back of racism and prejudice hatred and lies. A man who was put there with the help of Putin. A man who has filled his cabinet with other white men who are ‘tremendous’ simply because they have treated the pursuit of profit as their Holy Grail. A man who Tweets in the middle of the night and can’t even be bothered to get his spelling right.
I shudder at the thought of the Pussy Grabber and his band of ‘tremendous’ men. There is nothing on earth that would ever make me vote for them. How can it be that people have chosen to vote for him again?
Have not the events of the last few weeks made some of them shudder too?
Do they not have families at home?
What did they say to them when they returned from casting their vote?
“Don’t worry honey he’ll be too busy to grab your Pussy.”
“Better a Pussy Grabber than someone who actually has a Pussy.”
